Leaving for Lima

A special shoutout to Zicky who gave me this hand drawn envelope that perfectly sums up our day. I couldn’t resist posting this today, so here I am in the Atlanta airport sneaking up a post.

It is hard to believe we are actually here after the whirlwind that the last few days has been. Between cleaning out our apartment, and fighting with Rogers (our phone and internet provider) to take back their own equipment, we somehow managed to get 2 backpacks packed with our belongings for the next 9 months.

I arrived at the airport this morning to discover that the one pair of jeans I had chosen to bring with me (and wear for traveling) already have a rip in them! Now I’m stuck with my choice and my other pristine jeans will be waiting quietly in a closet for my return to Ottawa.

Happy Canada Day! We’re about to spend it watching the US – Belgium FIFA match.
