Fumigated Chicken Foot

Christina and I went out for lunch yesterday. Lunch in Lima usually consists of finding one of the comedores that serve a ‘menu’ meal, like prix fixe meals, but costing only $2.50.

At the comedor we chose we were a bit early, it being only slightly after noon, and the door was partially closed and most of the chairs were upside down on the tables. The waitress said that she only had a few meals ready so we picked a few choices between us and ate. (The starter ‘chicken soup’ came complete with a whole chicken foot, one for each of us!)

While we were there, the doors never fully opened and only one other table was in use. After we paid up and left I caught a glimpse of a note that had been stuck in place outside the door…

Closed for fumigation

Closed for what?!?
