Jeans first, couch later

I’ve been noticing that the Argentinians, and especially the porteños, are a fashionable people. The leather shoes, especially have been catching my eye here in Buenos Aires.

They must take their fashion seriously as many clothing stores (especially ones that sell jeans) seem to have a layaway policy. Buying your jeans seems to be like buying furniture at Leon’s where you walk out with a pair and make monthly payments until you are all paid up and presumably ready for your next pair!
